The sound this week is the blend - /ck/ at the end of clock.
Emphasize the /ck/ sound often through the day.  Have your child repeat the sound with you.

Put up your sound wall poster.

Handwriting Assignments:

Day 1:  Practice writing the letter "c" on one line of handwriting paper.

Day 2:  Practice writing the letter "k" on one line of handwriting paper.

Day 3:  Practice writing the blend "ck" on one line of handwriting paper.

Day 4:  Practice writing the word "clock" one or two times.

Day 5:  Practice writing any of the other theme words one or two times.
 

Activities and/or Art Projects

Practice telling the time.  You could use the clock printouts at donnayoung.org.

Build a sundial.

Make a paper plate clock.

Choose an experiment or activity from the book:  Clocks by Bernie Zubrowski.
