Sound of the Week Lesson for /ll/

Language Arts

The sound this week is the consonant blend /ll/ as found at the end of small.
Emphasize the /ll/ sound often throughout the day.  Have your child repeat the sound with you.

Put up your sound wall poster.

Handwriting Assignments:

Day 1:  Practice writing the letter "l" on one line of handwriting paper.

Day 2:  Practice writing the letter "l" on one line of handwriting paper.

Day 3:  Practice writing the consonant blend "ll" on one line of handwriting paper.

Day 4:  Practice writing the word "small" one or two times.

Day 5:  Practice writing any of the other theme words one or two times.
 

Activities and/or Art Projects

Draw pictures of small things.  See who can draw the smallest!

Make a list of 10, 20, 50 or even 100 small things around your house!

Bake mini muffins or other small treats.
