(Just a suggestion)

Snuggle Wuggle by Jonathan London

Proverbs 1:5

"A wise man will hear,
and will increase learning;
and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:"

Nursery Rhyme

Rub a Dub Dub

Rub a dub, dub,
Three men in a tub,
And who do you think they be?
The butcher, the baker,
The candlestick maker,
Turn them out, knaves all three.

Speech & Vocabulary

Comparing: (at dressing time) This sock is clean but this sock is dirty.  Your shirt is red and your pants are blue...

Indoor Games

Cleaning Up? or Maybe Not!

For this game you will need a laundry basket and some soft toys.  I use stuffed animals and dolls as we have a LOT!
Place the toys on the floor near the laundry basket and show your toddler how to put them into the basket.  As soon as you have finished cleaning them up, dump them out and start all over again.

Classical Music

Bach: Minuet in G, BWV Anh. 114 from the Anna Magdalena Bach Notebook

Children's Songs

Baby Beluga  (Raffi)

Foreign Languages

(For learning French -- you can substitute with choices of your own in a different language.)

Part One: Learn a song in French -- Nous sommes tous comme les fleurs
Part Two: French Vocabulary -- la fleur (flower)

Optional:  Choose an exercise from an exercise book to use with your toddler daily.

Arts and Crafts

The art lessons will begin at Lesson 11.  Until then just introduce your toddler to jumbo crayons and paper.  Scribble away!

What to do in Week Two

1 is One by Tasha Tudor

Proverbs 1:5

"A wise man will hear,
and will increase learning;
and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:"

"Happiness" from When We Were Very Young by A. A. Milne

Sign Language

Suggestion:  Teach the sign for DRINK.

Outdoor Games

(Depending on the season of the year you can rearrange these suggestions to work for you -- see the outdoor games link above.)

Beach Ball Play - roll a beach ball around on the grass.

Musical Exploration

Bells -- introduce your toddler to different kinds of bells such as jingle bells (found in rhythm instrument sets), hand bells, brass bells, cow bells, or whatever bells you may have access to.  I would not recommend using any type of an easily breakable bell.  Put on music and shake or ring the bells in time to the beat.

Bai, bai, bai, bai (Russian) from the Lullabies Around the World CD

Finger Puppets -- introduce finger puppets to your toddler.  You can use store bought puppets or make your own.

Some sites for making finger puppets:

You can use finger puppets to tell nursery rhymes, such as Rub a Dub Dub in this lesson.  You could make a butcher, a baker and a candlestick maker puppets.  Have fun!

Nature Study

Choose from the list of suggestions according to the current season.

Art Appreciation

Children's Illustrators Art Appreciation

Jan Brett -- Show your toddler the artwork of Jan Brett in the book Fritz and the Beautiful Horses.
